Unless you have Gap insurance, your estimated vehicle value doesn't guarantee you will get that in the event of a claim. That is down to the adjuster. But if you under estimate you don't get more if your car is actually worth more. Why they can't just use software to auto estimate the value of a car beats me.I think I have found yet another con going on in insurance.
I have takes a new policy with RIAS through Money Supermarket
They have misteriously adjusted the value of my car to about 60% of its actual value, even though I set the price on the comparison site.
They are a bit lower than my current renewal quote but is it worth it?
Just feel like everything nowadays is a con.

My guess as a cynic would be because it delivers them more profits.
I have contacted the company and explained that there was a mistake on the valuation (either their side or the comparison site) and they have amended the value with no impact on price.
