Carb upgrade for 1100/1150 on ebay

There is a matching set of Bing 40`s going on ebay at the moment. Might be what someone needs to do a carb swap to thier bike.

Quite true, but it seems that the Oil Heads respond well to a cornversion to Carbs.
There's a thread on here about it.

Straight from the horses mouth...Mr Scriminger himself Apparently the 1100 is the optimum cc for this upgrade...20% more power/torque than an 1150

I thought us 1100 riders were cheapskates... or perhaps we just stuck with the best one

About £700+ plus a set of carbs which you must supply.............go on go on go on, you know it makes sense ( bike wheelies as well )

May use the binned fuel injection on my airhead now !!!!

That doesn't add up.When i was at his place a couple of weeks ago picking up a GS gearbox,there was an 1100 there along with a NI reg 1150 Adv with carbatuters on.
I spoke to Steve S about the conversion for 1150s and has didn't mention any limitations.
I also noticed that the 1150 was originally a twin-spark,now converted to a single spark.I believe a bit of electrical jiggery-pokery to do with the wiring is required.

Lots of people arn't in this 'club'..at Dragon Rally this year I spoke with about eight R1100GS and airhead owners and non knew of or weren't in this 'club' ( sorry won't use that word again) !!


I know I didn't buy them

Might know of an immaculate airhead maybe going onto Ebay though
