have been looking for carbon hand guards with spoiler on top edge,to deflect air and rain over top of hands.found some on a posting by "ailmey4u2" but no make was given.they are the only ones i have seen with a lip, otherwise it would have to be wunderlich silver covers or TT plastic add on lip.any info on above would be great.tryed to contact "ailmey4u2" on this forum, no joy.

Hello,
These are made by Ilmberger for Wunderlich & are very very nice. The lip is higher, like the Touratech add on pieces. I had to widen the handlebar end mount holes slightly with a Dremel tool, as it was a tolerance fit. Not "perfectly" finished on the inside but not really an eye sore.
In all, a lovely piece of kit. Lemme see if I can post a pic today, bit busy as I'm catching a plane back to Blighty for the holidays.

thanks very much for that, just had another look on their site and it's very hard to see the lip,can you remember what they stung you for them.are they better protection than standard guards.they look the dogs! thanks again.

US$395.00, Stateside............
The picture I viewed on the vendors site, "may" have been an earlier version, as these are different & much better. Bought these about a month ago.

Why carbon fibre? Isn't it more brittle than normal boring plastic?

As for the price, I wonder how much BMW charge for normal boring plastic ones? :)
