carbtune

dunno, but mine are graduated 8 to 42 of whatever they are.

doesn't matter as long as they are both read the same. if it goes outside the range one way, you can use them upside down.

HI cookie I appreciate that both intakes need to read the same, it just the test gear I was going to use, like most gear has a upper limit and you can do damage to it if you go above this, and since I need it to do my job, didn't want to bugger it up.

'll have a look through the manual and find some figures, cheers for the reply

If you have a carbtune make sure the rods aren't rusty. Mine seemed ok but actually had light surface rust. this made them a bit sticky in operation. I've ended up making my bike run worse by putting the throttle bodies out of sync! Which reminds me, I really must book it in with Steptoe and get the bike set up properly. Neil could you do this and the mixture while I waited? Anyway, you can make up a water manometer. Theres a recent thread that covers this. Tsiklonaut posted a good picture of his one.

The fuse for the motronic is the 5th fuse in (from the left hand foot peg side). I too was told to leave it out for a good 5 minutes. Then put it back in. Turn the ignition on so you hear the fuel pump whirring etc, but dont start it. Then open and shut the throttle fully 2 times. This sets up the TPS (throttle position sensor) for the motronic. Switch ignition off and back on and start and ride as normal.:)
