Carmarthen/Lampeter

My son is possibly moving from Swansea to this area.

Does anyone know of any good trail riding around these parts?

We drove through last week and the roads look fantastic for biking but wondered about off-roading.

I live in Carmarthen now, but used to live just outside Lampeter - my parents still live there.

Be very very careful about taking a bike into Brechfa forest. When you look at a map, and see the enormous forest, it's very tempting to take an off-roader up there, but I've heard the Police do regular checks.

There is lots of legal tracks in Brechfa ,but be carefull as you can stray off the track very easily ,Cabbage soup lane is also down that way ,check the video out ,lane starts about 1:45

Check the maps and plot a route before you go .
As for Carmarthen there are'nt many legal tracks at all left down that way ,we have a few members on vdsr who come from that area and travel up to us for the rideouts ,we usually meet in Ystradgynlais ,anyone and everyone is more than welcome to join us .
