Carole Nash, wankers vs Bennetts, Great!

I called Bennetts yesterday to change over to my new gs iconic model from my old gs. The woman says iconic isn't listed on their system and they can't insure me so I will have to look elsewhere. I can't believe that Bennetts hasn't insured another one of these in the uk.
Tried BMW insurance which is free for 5 days with buying a new bike from them. They won't touch it unless it has a tracker fitted. WTF. Why don't they fit them as standard then.
Ended up going online and used Asda insurance comparison site. Got it covered through Hastings Direct for £138, comprehensive protected with business use included. About £80 cheaper than Bennetts was for my old bike.
 
Went with Bennets when I got my S10 last year, and a month before the renewal at the end of May I went online and got a Bennet's quote, which was £20 less than last years premium ( the online quote was £143 IIRC)

So the renewal came in at £190.. rang them up, had a chat, got it down to £146 which I'm happy with, and got them to remove the auto renew :thumb
 
Well , changed to bennetts from CN. Great I thought ,saved £60. On my 800gs. Today got an outstanding bill letter from Bennetts saying they will be cancelling my insurance policy ___ for Ktm ____o8. unless I pay £146.98

I have not owned that KTM since 2012. So phoned up only to be told I hadn't informed them I had sold it. Bullshit as I swapped policy to a triumph tiger I had then.

Then I was told , the letter is for your BMW. Funny I said, you just told me it was an old policy for a bike I have not owned for 4years.
Then I was told, it's because your payment for your new policy hadn,t gone through.
By this stage I was getting mighty pissed off.

Funny that I told her ,your colleague tried to process the policy twice,I had said to him I hope I don,t get charged twice,No I was told there was a glitch in our system it has gone through the second time ok.

She then looked into it further and said ,yes you do not need to pay as your payment had gone through.

Really!!! I want to formally complain to customer services and will not be using Bennnets again I informed her.

It was a system process she said, well you need to get your system sorted and finished by repeating how I wanted the complaint logged.
Mighty pissed off.
 
Each year I swap between CN and Bennetts. The reason being its cheaper,I have asked both companies why I cannot get a better quote and stay with whichever one I am insured with at the time,Only to be told sorry that is the best we can do ,it seems in my case it is better to swap each year.

That what l do with all my insurance, car bikes and house. Even if the company I am with, after phoning do come down to match cheaper quote I always change as they "obviously don't value my custom" .
It's not as if the internet doesn't make it easy!
 
Got my CN renewal quote yesterday that included cover for the trail bike I had stolen at the end of last year which they covered :/
 
Tried to reinsure the wife's 350 Enfield with Bennets today. Due to a technical coding problem ??? they can't quote on any 350 enfields at all!!! Hyabusa no problem ! Online with carol Nash all sorted in10 mins for just 10 quid more.
