Carpuride W702 and Google Maps

I downloaded every free nav app from the play store

I looked at bike navs , car navs, & truck / lorry navs

I tried them all on the various tablets i have

There was only 1 main prerequisite i wanted, and that was the ability to display the current road speed in a font / image big enough to see
(Age related near vision problems are a pain in!! )

Of all the apps i downloaded and tried there are only 2 paid apps that has given me what i required ,

The first is Co pilot £16 PA

however it is not perfect, and still cant understand that your preloaded route is the one you want to follow , and still insists on trying to get you to use its version of your route

The second is Sygic

I tried the truck version of Sygic, and it was good, but at £70PA they can jog on

They do a car version , which appears to be the same software, but without the truck bits - it was on offer for £12 so i have paid for a year

The biggest problem with 99% of all nav apps , is software willy waving

They all want to be the centre of everything, controlling reading, playing, recording, waving, rating etc

and in doing so they cock it up right royally
