Our IAM group up here in the Highlands and Islands arranged for some of us to attend and get some training in above course.
Targeting serious car / bike accidents.
Based on much of UK army trauma kit etc but application to serious open wounds from vehicle accidents.
Was excellent. Should you come across this course, I would strongly recommend.
Have already put together a wee trauma bag to carry on bike. Hopefully I never need to use but there if required.
Trainer was in a different league.

The course sounds good. What do you carry in your trauma kit?

I was once the first-aider at a bike crash (no catastrophic bleeding, thankfully). I was shocked how easily textile clothing shredded.

Some tourniquets, heamostatic dressings, z fold gauzes, compression bandages, chest seal, scissors.

I think it’s probably time I got on a workplace advanced first aid refresher course, I’m well out of date. A good idea to carry a specific first aid kit for roadside trauma on the bike.
