CB750 Hornet

I bought one, goes like fuck, reminded me of my power valve but handles better and brings a grin in my old shoei 😁

Finally picked up mine last week, not bad considering my last post on this was last July (I've been busy) same colour as yours Taminator and I see yours has the quick shifter too. Interested in the hugger over the rear tyre, is it a Honda part, a close up picture would be appreciated. John.

Having had mine for nearly a year now I can honestly say I am loving it.
It took me a fair while to get my confidence back 100%, but I have, familiar with the adhesion of the roads, the way the bike handles etc.

I recall saying that I don`t understand how anyone would want a 200bhp bike....I am beginning to understand that now, I have taken the bike to the limits in every way, on the roads we have here...4000KM and the tyres, front and rear are feathering on their treads and I just used a half a tank of petrol in 50 minutes!

So I am having the internal dialogue with myself, do I buy a more powerful bike, or just thoroughly enjoy what I have....Of course I am mindful of the prospect of death, that a more powerful bike can bring....Because I know I will push it further, it is in me. I think I shall enjoy this summer with what I have and review it in the Autumn.

It is a very good motorcycle though and especially so, since it has cheap suspension.

Liking my Hornet 750 too, although I do have a MT09 Tracer too and the Hornet is tiny compared with that, but great fun. Do you need anything else? Well no if you do not need to carry lots of luggage or a pillion. Does a bike need to have any more than about 100BHP, not really.

Got my Hornet last June and have only done 2,000 miles (I have other bikes and also am away a lot).

Love every ride on it…it’s powerful, light, tiny and manoeuvrable - and easy on fuel.

The suspension is its Achilles heel but the bike was well worth the money - I got the Quick shift (which I love) and heated grips (this is the UK!).

The saddle can be challenging after an hour or two but as the weather improves I am tempted to try a longer trip, with a bigger Givi tank bag.

And it’s got as much power as I will ever need….combined with a great grin factor

The modern ‘effort’ is hardly a copy as it’s a parallel twin. The only similarity is in the capacity.

Oh really, who would have thought. :D :D

You really are a knob at times.
