Has anyone measured the GS or any other boxer BMW centre of weight and it's height from the ground via calculation?

Would be interesting to know it and compare with inline and V-engines. Coz strangely the boxer BMWs compete a bit better on twisty mountain roads than more powerful inlines or V-s on the same skilled riders. I think it's has probably something to do with lower C-o-W?

Cheers, Margus

A key to this 'chuckability' versus weight thing is found by drawing a straight line from front wheel spindle to rear wheel spindle and seeing how close to this line the centre of the crankshaft is...

You`ll find that the heavy but surprisingly 'chuckable' bikes adhere to this rule...

Most BMWs
Harleys
Goldwings (yes, they ARE agile if you want them to be)
