Centre stand mounts Help?!

Help!

I’ve been fitting an altrider sumo guard to my 1250GSA and have cocked up. The mounting system works on two bushes that replace those in the centre stand. The right went on a breeze. The right, with the springs didn’t work, instead of pushing out the original with the new I just pushed it out and now I can’t get the holes to line up. It’s obviously under tension from the springs that also apply a twisting force. Removing the springs - apart from being difficult itself - feels like digging a deeper hole. Amy ideas? Please?

Stretch the springs as far as you can and using coins or washers slide them between each coil of the spring and that will take the tension off them to allow you to remove them without much effort.

I’ve just refitted my stand after having it powder coated.
As above, unhook the springs using the coin method (I used 5p coins in about half of the spring coils)
It was actually easier knocking the bushes in off the bike so that the tip just showed through the first hole in the stand leg. I was then able to hook it onto the chassis, then used a G clamp to squeeze it in through to the second hole on the leg. A few taps with a bar and mallet, and it went home.
If you struggle to get the bush in with the one leg attached, the you will probably have to take the other side off and refit using my method.
