Ordered as set of sprockets and drive chain from my local moto supplier and collected them today.............

the rear sprocket has 49 teeth, BMW recommended one is a 47...

the chain has 116 links (AFAM XS ring) BMW recommended one is 112

the front sprocket has 16 teeth as recommended by BMW.

Is it ok to fit these to my 2005 F650GS, or should I return them for the BMW recommended ones :nenau:nenau

Thanking you in anticipation.

Geraldine

Take them back!

Not only is the rear sprocket too big for your bike (unless you want to gear it down for off-roading) but the chain is too long even for the larger rear sprocket - you'd need a 114 link chain - perhaps you could even get away with the stock 112 link.

Just take out a couple of links :nenau

My chains always come with too many links, better that way as it allows you to run alternative sprocket sizes :thumb

Me I'd keep the larger sprocket, but I off road mine mainly, if that's not you, ask for a different size rear sprocket.
