I have an 08 GS which went in for a recall. They sent me out on a new twin can and offered me a good deal to change.

My problem is my bike seemed quicker on the way home. It has a Apro end can and I have Decat the headers. Can you fit an Apro to the twin cam, (this will be expensive as I got mine secondhand) If you do what do you do with the flap in the front headers set it to open ?

I know some will say leave well alone but the changes to my bike have improved it so much, it pulls well even in top and weighs about 8lbs less(which I am sure helps).
What changes have any new owners made?
Thanks Nick

Unless they are offereing a free swap to a twin cam(lol:augie) then they'll want at least £2k from you

Is it worth spending £2k or more to you?

If it is .................swap

If not, don't

The exhaust valve is in it's own short section of pipe. You can remove it and fit the headers and can from your old bike or leave it in place and fit either a can or headers or both but these will need to be new as the old ones won't fit with the valve in place.

No changes anybody?

Has nobody with the new twin cam changed the end can?

Park lane BMW are offering one with an Apro already fitted.

You can now buy Remus de-cat headers and Akrapovic (apra?) can for the new 2010 GS's.

nippy norman and Calsport do them..
