I am toying with swopping in my 93 r100gspd 53,000miles on the clock for a S/Hand 1150gs .
Basicaly I like my GS (love the exhaust sound) But it has let me down on my last 3 trips i.e. 2 years ago the driveshaft collapsed in switzerland.
May this year the battery suddenly gave up in Portugal
October this year the starter moter gave up in Spain.
Believe me push starting a fully ladened gs does not add to the fun of a trip.
I like doing my own servicing and that is easy on an airhead
one slight anomily on my gs is on the 3 occasions that I have had to do an emergency stop in the 5 years that I have owned it the back end has come round on me I have never had this problem on on any othe other BMW's I have owned All RT's airhead and K's.
Is it time to say goodbye to Klause and get a 1150 or should I forgive him and spend a bit of money on TLC .
Any thoughts folks.
