OK.....

Had a deal with BT to get their broadband. Deal came to an end. I had bought the BT wireless router as part of the deal, so it's now my property. Work provide me with broadband from another supplier, but my BT router tells me to feck off when I try to reconfigure it to use it on the new supplier. BT helpline in India finally agreed that I could change the configs. I have the new username and password, but still get the message "this router is part of a BT package. Please contact your service provider." Am I stuck with this? Or does anyone know how to reconfigure the router so I don't have to come and sit in the fecking garage to get online before spending another £50 on a new wireless router?

Are you getting into it via the BT software or going straight in to it using an IP address with the LAN cable.?????

which model too chum ??

answers on a postcard please :thumb

It's a BT Voyager 2091 wireless ADSL router.
I have an HP laptop with built in wireless, so connect via that, no cables.
The wireless finds the router OK. The after entering the username and password, i get the Feck Off message.

Thanks for the PM's chaps. Sorry I didn't reply sooner.
