changing lock on a topcase

No, I am not just trying to match the lock on the topcase to the ignition key.

I bought a '00 1150 GS with the BMW topcase. the key for the topcase has indentations on one side only, so the barrel is not of the same type as most of the cases I have seen i.e. a double sided key like the ignition.
Does anyone know if I can change the barrel for a double-sided-key barrel which I could then match to the ignition key.

And yes, I did try a search. Using "lock" brings up everything about wheels locking up and using any combination of luggage, case etc. brings up WAY too much to wade through.

Any help appreciated.

No - The bmw topcase uses the same bmw key that was used in on models (except pre72, before the anoraks jump on me) before the R1100/1150 bikes appeared. The k1100 topbox is the same as the one fitted to your bike.
