Just ordered a Downtec 1200 down sleeping bag.

the whole Downtec range is on there site for sale with about a 25% saving on any other site I could find.

the 1200 costs £56 delivered.

the 1600 which is down and is rated -2 to -10 is only £65 delivered

Well It Eventually arrived 2 days ago

Cant really fault their communication which was always good, it did take a while to come but it may have had something to do with the weather which kept putting back deliveries.

Overall I am impressed with the Bag, it fluffs out to a unbelievable size and then packs away nice and small. I actually have mine out of the bag and rolled out ( like you would wallpaper ) it fits in my Rear Bag much better that way.

I havent tested it to -15 yet  although I could have the other night I suppose.

It appears to be a dent quality Bag, it hasnt been used yet som cannot comment but Iam 6ft 3 tall and I can get inside it no problem at all.

At £65 delivered I am pleased

Are your feet right at the bottom of the bag when in it? What's shoulder room like?

I'm 6'4" and am considering getting a new bag. Bought a synthetic from Blacks and have found that it is a bit short for me.

Thanks

Nigel

DOnt know about my feet being right at the bottom but it definately fit me fine, Its not the widest bag in the world but to be honest its about the same as others I have had Like Snugpak etc..

I only spent about 5 minutes inside it all tucked up in the front room until my missus came in and thought I was losing it :blast

I explained that its what everyone does but i was just digging myself in deeper so I gave up.

I reckon you would be Ok at 6ft 4 unless your a man mountain.

6'4" - 44" chest. Having just checked the blacks bag the problem is not the length its the being able to turnover in the bag.

Thanks

Nigel

Your not far off the same size as me,

I have never been able to turn over in any sleeping bag properly, However this one has the Shiny lining so you can slide around a bit more.
My old one had a cotton liner which might have been warmer but you ended up like a Fajita.

I have never had a good nights kip in any bag so I am probably not the best judge anyway I reckon they are all rubbish for those of us who like to turn over all the time.

I got one from them and used it. Bought the heavyweight 4+ seasons kept me warm in fact had to undo the zip.

I'm 6' 4" fifteen and a half stone with a 46" chest and it was plenty big enough.

Cheers!

Will put in an order online then .. and see what happens :thumb2
