Given that I've read on here about Battery failures on the GS1250, I thought I'd see if there was anything on the market that would give me 'early warning' - and came across Gammatronix. I've just recently fitted one of these to my 2019 R1250GS Exclusive TE, and have to say it does everything it says - visible charging condition when the engine is running, battery condition when its not (and it flashes so looks like an alarm light). All I had to do was make a bracket (although you can zip tie it in place) and connect across the battery. Very impressed for the price and hopefully will give me early warning if ever I'm unfortunate to suffer battery issues.

I like the Ctek battery charge lead which (as well as allowing you to charge) also can include a three colour light system to indicate charge level all the time (and like your recommendation, flashes like a security system )

I have this as a panel mount, I got a relocation bracket from NN and modified it. Same thing as OP but with a charge socket.

No gadget can save battery from swift dead.

I agree - however if (for the money) this light indicates in advance if I'm likely to have battery issues, then it will have been worth it. Who knows with "swift dead" whether there were any advance warnings if such a gadget had been fitted?
