@Daffy I really do hope people don’t start price chipping here.

In cases like this, buyers often try kick the widow (or widower) while they are down.

I recently was interested in a Ford Econoline van, the next size up from an Astro and had to walk away because it was too wide for my drive.

I heard subsequently someone had paid less than half of what I was prepared to pay and under a third of what I believed it could make on a decent day.

This seems to be an amazing deal for someone.
I do hope so too, I’ve had 3 pm’s so far so there’s a bit of interest.

I walk past this every day and have often spoken to him about it.

Since he’s died I’ve often thought I’d have it because it’s a real head turner, and when I heard the price I almost bit, but common sense kicked in as I just don’t have the room for it even though it’s an absolute bargain.

@Grizz Thanks for the kind words and knowledge re the van

@Daffy there are some UK Astro groups on Facebook as well.

But you will see some sharks there.

I think the 6 spark plugs that were replaced are a clue that this is s V6 and not a V8. Someone could buy this use it a while, take it to Trip Out (where loads of folk arrive in these things) and sell it for twice what they paid. Tempting 🤔

Go for it!

If you’re really interested then pm me and I’ll give you the phone number 👍

I hear it’s sold pending the usual so I’ll close the thread now.

Thanks to everyone who commented especially @Grizz for his knowledge.

The guy whose the family contact has just rang me to tell me to close the add and thank us, he says Brian’s mum is so relieved to see it go as it’s one less reminder of her son.

I also didn’t know that the handwritten list of work done was written by the owner to make it easier to sell after he’d passed away - what an awful thing for a son to have to do for his mum…

Anyway, thanks again to all - just the triumph to sell now…
