Hi Andy, I've been busy rebuilding the Manx since I got back, it stripped the plating from the cylinder bore and nipped-up when flat-out in 6th through 'Armco Alley' which was interesting (it's the bend at the start of the second video) I've not sorted any pics yet but here's some Youtube links to give a taster. It's a great meeting, very friendly and the locals turn out in droves to support the event. I'll definitely be going back next year.

This year was another fantastic meeting. The atmosphere was buzzing,with people all enjoying themselfs.It was good to bump into Hodge on the site, if your reading , hope you had a safe journey home. And with a bit of luck we may make Gedinne later in the year.

good weather, great beer, lovely people (including Ken, number 6 (Andy ?, sorry forgotten name) and loads of others, great campsite, ....and motorbike racing.... bloody fabulous weekend

We had a good ride back and met some friends on the Hull ferry beer.

I've just heard that three riders lost their lives in separate accidents at Chimay this weekend in the 'Open Trophy' meeting. Vick de Cooremeter (Belgium), Thilo Häfele (Germany) & Julien Paquet (France). It's a great circuit but very unforgiving when it goes wrong.

Can anyone recommend a hotel / gite / B&B close to the course ? there dont appear to be many on bookings.com etc.

Hi Mike, there's not much near the circuit, we stayed here this year :- http://www.tromcourt.com/ About 12 miles out of Chimay, very reasonably priced and very nice
