Hi all, I need some tech help regarding my '99 1100GS.
Today I took off my Laser exhaust pipe and chip, and swapped them for the stock pipe and chip. The bike wouldn't start afterward. I checked for spark and there was none. Also, gasoline was really shooting hard out of the spark plug hole, hard enough so that if the plug was in, gas would leak out of the throttle body. If the plug was out, it would shoot a couple feet out and wet the ground.
Also, I put the Laser chip back in at the end, figuring I could use the bike, but the bike wouldn't start. This seems to indicate that the motronic is at fault, as the laser chip worked fine up until I removed it this morning. I'm now wondering if my Motronic buggered, or could it be something else? I didn't mess with any other part of the bike, except for the motronic so.... Is there any way of testing the Motronic unit?
Any and all help is most welcome. And by the way, the negative lead on the battery was unhooked while working on the motronic, so I don't think I fried it that way.
Cheers,
Jim
