Chris Northover buys a Kove Rallye 450

What a great business model.

No sight glass or dipstick, but my cousin Wong makes a cover with a window for a velly good price.

Well, after a touch of miscommunication I ended up with my bike a week earlier than expected. Never a bad thing where a new motorbike is concerned.

Arrived this morning as arranged at 6.15 so I could take possession before having to go to work. What a superb service.

After placing a provisional order last Wednesday to a bike arriving in a week is a pretty impressive service.

Dealing with John at MK has been a pleasure and more efficient than we both expected!!

As for the bike. I've sat on it in the garage and it still looks shiny. Debating as to whether I'll ever take it out to get dirty. :)

I'm really pleased with the whole process and looking forward to getting enough miles to give it its first service.

Chuffed as a chuffed thing! I'm a very lucky boy.

And yes Mikeyboy, they do a shortarsed version too!

I would JB but it looks like all the other white and red ones. I'll spec it up with fancy parts and then post some pics.

Just fitted some new graphics to mine. Well done Tufts, I hope you enjoy your new bike.
Looks like we will be having a Kove day out in the near future.

To move the story along, the bike has had a few additions, rack, heated grips, seat cover, ECU flash, larger rear sprocket, taller screen. I was really enjoying the bike with all that new bike joy. There was a constant nagging that the fuelling was very jerky and whilst the sprocket change and the ECU flash made some difference I suffered during a holiday away, which was partly my confidence and partly the throttle response.

I was ready to sell it and mentioned it to a couple of people. Then Skid06 tells me about a new hack, to disconnect the heat sensor (or something wirey) he even performed the connecterectomy, on Saturday morning, before the East Mids Weekend ride.

Well, I have to say, this has made the difference. Throttle response is much smoother, which means I can hold the throttle steady whilst standing, without being thrown backwards or forwards with the slightest of movement.

The bike now is pretty much sorted and staying with me. I'm looking forward to the next trip out.

Nice to hear this, it sounds like it is the connector for the feedback to the auto-throttle that constantly makes small adjustments (apparently for Euro5).
What use is your bike getting? Slow off-road, ADV TETs, enduro?? I am almost convinced to get one for TET in the UK, but I am not convinced it is the right bike for EU TET trails as they are much more 'tame' and there is much more road work....any views on this from people?

It depends how good you are and which parts of the TET you're doing. It's not a CRF300 Rally, but it is like its big brother.

If you talk to Tetley, he'd probably ride any routes on his and he has led a big bike road tour to Scotland and wasn't noticeably on a smaller bike.

I've ridden TET and green lanes on mine, and so much better since the recent change. My other off road bike is a Mikeyboy special. Two different feeling bikes, but both very capable of doing the same thing. Both similar weights and power, although different delivery. Be difficult to say which I'd prefer taking anywhere.
