Partner working all day, kids with ex so planning to ride around some/all Norfolk coast (depends what time I get up!). Will stop for lunch on beach (hot soup & turkey sandwiches!). Anybody wont to tag along?

We always ride out and have Xmas lunch on the beach. Spectacularly cold last year at Horsey.

Had Xmas Day lunch on Horsey beach watching seals

Madame B still manages to look elegant and composed despite cold and wind

Might well set up a rendezvous this year.

Rain or shine (but not ice).

Agree rain or shine but not ice!

Based just a short hop from Thickthorn Services so that might be a good rendezvous?

Unfornately kiddie up on boxing day so not available that day.

Agree rain or shine, but what about snow?

I am OK with fresh! but no ice

Standing by for weather forecast.

Beach in any case but by car if icy.

Saw first bike for a week today. KTM 990. Sliding out on to the Aylsham Road. Kudos. We're still iced in.

Hi Mr & Mrs B. If roads like today then don't see any problems. Slow but upright!

Check several weather sites and still some variance in forecasts, fingers crossed.

Any thoughts on time & location for rendezvous?

Still iced in here. Hard to get car out of road, never mind bike.

Will still hit the beach in any case - probably rendez-vouz on the coast.

Seasons Greetings boatman. Saving yourself for Hogmanay?

About the same temp overnight here except you'd think it had never happened before.

No chance of moving bikes this Xmas. Love the cold weather but it does get a bit frustrating. Still 1" of solid ice down our street - only just above freezing even though weather station claims 2C . Traction control runs on car even at tickover crawling away to the main road. Only 300m to clear road :(. I just stood on the pavement this morning and slid gracefully towards the car. Huge fun.

Off to Horsey tomorrow in any case. Home made bread and lentil soup on the beach!

Well up for a run out as soon as possible. Good riding tomorrow Boffer.

Back safely, coast road a bit icy but main routes were fine. Surprising number of people along the coast for christmas day lunchtime. Stopped at Sea Palling, Waxham & Horsey (lots of seals & onlookers, worth a visit).

Ride out soon?
