Clean up history files software

Can any of you IT bods out there in cyberspace point me towards some software to clean up my PC history files. I'm looking for something that removes all traces of where I've been on the www and removes unwanted cookies etc What's the best recommendation freeware out there ?

Well let's see now....
There's www. xxx-boobies.com, www.bondage.net , www.gsclubuk.com and a few other filthy things that have crept onto my PC - due to other people using my PC

Actually I just want to keep it nice n clean so that if work wants to check that they only see what I want them to see.....

Use IE itself...

On the menu, go to 'Tools', then choose 'Internet Options'.
When the dialogue box opens up, click on 'Clear History', 'Delete' Cookies' and 'Delete Files'. Careful though, if you delete ALL cookies, your automatic logon to wonderful GS sites will disappear. If you want to keep those, get a Cookie management program, or use the options built into IE to prompt you if you want the cookies when a site tries to save them.

Yeah - thanks for that I have done that already but that seems to only be superficial cleansing - I'm looking for a deep cleaner that get's rid of all the hidden files that you don't capture with the basic tools that MS provide.

My mate uses Evidence Eliminator. Top programme cleans all those hidden files. Not cheap thats why I don't have it running but seen as the best. EE Here

from this lot is quite good. However be under no illusions short of removing the hard drive or re-writing over it several times you can't fully erase the info stored. 'Big Brother' has ways of recovering the info but for general use it's suffice.
