As my original reflector is slowly getting toasted i've bought a spare cracked one off fleabay. I've now taken all the glass out (one hour at 160C and a flat bladed screwdriver to cut seal) Problem is as the unit was obviously used in rain whilst cracked there is build up inside on the reflector that i would like off before i seal up the whole thing again.

Anyone cleaned their reflector with any measure of success?

I believe toothpaste does the job very well.

Thank you. In the end i used a damp microfibre cloth - i figured it was just dried water and so reversed the process. The trickiest bit was trying to lift off bits of dirt to prevent them rubbing against the reflector and acting like sand paper as i cleaned.

Though after all that patient work i'm now looking to replace the headlight unit with a custom LED projector unit :blast
