Might be asking a stupid question, or maybe I am missing something, but...

Ordered clear iindicator lenses from Motor Works, went to fit them and they don't.

They just don't want to seem to fit into the casing.

Also, the 21 watt lamps that I have bought have a different bayonet pin arrangement - sort of offset, so they don't fit either.

Bloke in Motorworks said all I needed were the bulbs to complete the job.

I have a 51- reg R1150GS, originally (and still) fitted with amber lenses.

Am I missing a trick here?

Anyone else been here?

Mike.

Came with them..

Sorry mine came with the clear lenses already fitted, Adventure screen aswell.
Get down your nearest dealer and make sure you have the right bits by comparing to another 1150 GS.

Hope thats a little helpful.:)

You need to file the little plastic lug from the clear lens. The bloke at motorworks told me to do this and it worked a treat.

File off one of the lugs on the bulbs, worked for me.........

JON 451 is correct - there was a previous thread where others had the same problem including me - some go in- others don't -and any forcing leads to "ping" and superglue. Its a safety thing apparently regarding putting clear bulbs in clear lenses - anyway do as the rest of us have done and get the file out.

orange bulbs

Go to your local motor factors and ask for orange bulbs without offset pins - you will also find they are a lot cheaper than BM / Motorworks (£2.40 for box of 10)
The later clear lenses from BM don't have the lug on either
