Hi All

I have a 2012 gsa, 14k mileage.

Just had a new main oil seal fitted due to a leak, new gearbox housing as they couldnt get the old one back on, and a new clutch as a safety measure (all on warranty thankfully).
The bike now creeps forward when in gear with the clutch pulled in.

Any ideas ???

Let 'they' fix it after all they caused it

There was a problem with the routing of the clutch hydraulic line which made it very hard to fully bleed from top to bottom. Can they fill it from bottom to top?

Wouldn't mess about, just take it back to the BMW dealer, to finish the job right....

Don't listen to "they all do that sir" comment from garage. They've been paid for work by bmw, politely explain what problem is, follow up in writing and give reasonable period for them to fix it properly.

Don't lose temper, or shout/swear no matter how justified you may feel. Out come is to get bike sorted not raise your blood pressure.

Did a BMW main dealer do the work ? I only ask as this happens if they've fitted an earlier pressure plate and used the original clutch pushrod..... Of course a main dealer would know this (you hope :D) but a workshop that isn't working on BMW's all the time wouldn't.

Of course the clutch may just need bleeding, but seeing as the fluid and operating mechanism isn't disturbed/dismantled when changing a clutch so should be exactly the same as it was previously.

So it could be an easy fix - swap the pushrod.

My clutch has never felt as good as it should there seems to be a lot of slack before the hydraulics "bite". It works fine and I don't have large hands so it's no big deal. But having ridden other GS's mine isn't as good as it should be.

Slave cylinder replaced, everything bled including careful lever movements to eek out the last few fine bubbles. No significant change. Clutch was checked at 50K when I had the frames away for powder coat. Nothing odd going on. Clutch action unchanged.
