riding around the lake district last week clutch started to slip got home and checked the friction plate on it's wear limit(4.8mm) which seems a bit premature at just over 46000 miles,
anyhoo had a phone round to get it done it went from south london motorcycles £854.00:eek:coopers t'wells £631.00,mark bowden bromley, £550.00 jap&german london bridge £525.00 steptoe 475.00 dunno why i bothered to phone round so next tuesday, now i have to do some weekends to pay for it :mad:
 
Had the same problem on mine coming back from Valencia after 400 mile ride. Slipping when in 6th accelerating from 60mph, revs rise to 7k then settle as the drive bites. now slipping all the time when hot. What's the normal non BM price for a new clutch ?
 
Cant find any ref to this clutch slip in the 1200 GSA model, Mines a2007 model wih 24k miles on it. Cant be normal ???????

I know it's a bigger job on the 1200, but other than that there is little on the net in general.

maybe you couldnt find it in the 1200 section because of all the other faults on the bikes:augie
