co-ordinates... 2610

have got a set of co-ordinates for my destination in Sweden (work)

lat N58 24' 8.53"
lon E15 39' 34.75"

says syatem WGS 84|RT90

how/can i enter them into my 2610 as a waypoint?

Assuming you've got mapsource:

In EDIT/PREFERENCES/POSITION set "grid" to lat/lon hddd°mm'ss.s"

Ctrl+T then enter it like this N58 24 08.5 E15 39 34.8

transfer the waypoint to the GPS

If I want to put a set of co-ords in say from Google Earth I tap the screen until a flag appears in the top right of the screen, touch that and then just enter it there and name it what you want, easy as a really easy thing

by "tap the screen".... am i correct in thinking

tap the screen on the 2610 till the waypoint flag appears, then enter it directly into the unit?

Yes, thats all I do, if I need the waypoint as part of a route in mapsoure then I just upload the waypoints from the unit.

i never thaught of doing it "that way round" i usually work things out in mapscource then send to the GPS
