The coil connector on the loom side of the lower left hand coil is broken. It looks like the plug connectors havebeen bent and then straightend and subsequently broken. The bike has been main dealer service and they have made no mention of this. :augie
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can replace the loom side connector? I do have a BMW warranty but I'm not sure if it would be covered.

Think you can buy a repair kit, No. 3 maybe?

Thanks for the diagram. I think you are right no 3 looks favourite. I will be speaking to the Spares/service manager later today to discuss it. :thumb2

I had this problem a couple of years ago, and what a nightmare it was. The local dealer couldn't obtain a replacement part either here in Australia or from Europe. Luckily the mechanic was able to take a plug off a burnt out wiring loom for a 1 series car. I think it was for the cam position sensor.

Good luck...

I have just spoke to the service manager and he has ordered a replacement plug 14 +vat. It comes with fly leads. These are soldered then heatshrunk. I anticipate about half hour labour. Any more and I'll do it myself.
