Coil pack up in smoke

Rode the bike to my mates for an MOT.He said that my bike stank! He had the ignition on, then walked to the right side of the bike, to operate the brake lever. I'm standing on the left, suddenly plumes of smoke came from the coil pack. Ignition off, hopped on some , maybe 40 year old Kawasaki single cylinder two stroke trials bike. That was a novelty!! Went home, bought back a spare coil pack. Mate now has another mutual friend in the shop, I had removed the coil pack before leaving & left it hanging.They had turned the ignition on again, apparently the coil pack caught fire!!!

done no damage don't worry just replace it .

I wasn't worried about it. Just never had it happen before, several have died on me.
