Comfort sear standard on TE?

I know this has been done before but I’m still unsure.

Mrs S wants a comfort seat on our new 1250TE.

This was mentioned to the salesman but nothing shows up on the spec sheet and I can’t even see anything on the Motorrad configuration site either.

I’ve order a low riders seat and heated seats which are both on there but no comfort seat.

Are TE seats comfort as standard and if so you’d think the guy would have said so.

I’ll get in touch with him later but thought you might know the answer.

My 2021 triple black has heated seats, as far as I can ascertain they are just about identical to the 'comfort seats I had on my previous 1250 exclusive

yes heated are same as comfort, and standard is standard as post 2 says, heated is option so automatic comfort

I don't think that is correct.
A friend of mine ordered a new, lowered suspension, R1250GSA Rallye in March 2021, it came with heated seats, the front being a lowered seat.
I ordered one at a similar time, again a lowered suspension, R1250GSA Triple Black, it also came with heated seats, but standard height.
When we met up I noticed that his seats were different to mine, the pattern of the material used for the upper part of the seat has a more distinctive 'weave' pattern. After a bit of research, it turned out his were the 'Comfort' seats whereas mine were standard. Until then I didn't realise 'Comfort' seats existed.

The lowered suspension GSA I test rode before ordering had a lowered, non-heated front seat. It was like a plank so chose not to go for the lowered seat. Could it be that if you want a lowered heated seat that the 'comfort' one is provided as standard? (As I doubt there'd be room for a heating pad on the non-heated seat that was on the bike I took out for a test.)
Had I realised that the lowered comfort, heated seat existed I would have specified one on the order.

Just taken delivery of new 1250gs te. When ordered it i asked about comfort seat as couldnt find it on configurator. Dealer told me the heated seat is the comfort seat so they have dropped the seperate comfort seat. I ordered the heated seat & it is more comfortable and has the dimpled finish on the top surface like the old comfort seat used to have. So, yes i think the heated seat is now your only option for getting the "comfort" seat.

It is correct what I say but not sure when it changed, maybe not so long ago.

All I can say is my seats are definitely different to those on my friends, both new bikes (in this year's colours), both heated seats, the only difference being his front seat is a low one.

You got a photo of the surface of the seats? I will compare it against my heated seat. Could just be a different batch of covering material.....

After market yes, not so sure about OE seats though. The front seat is controlled via the TFT, along with the heated grips. The pillion is via a simple switch on the side of the seat. So software and hardware needed. Perhaps a dealer will know.

Yeah, may be ‘controlled’ by a magical TFT, but the heated seats will still have a live and neutral feed . So just need a switch , a relay and a battery feed ? Must be relatively simple surely for some of the talent on here.

Yes, very simple to do the way you describe. Bit more involved if you want it the same as the later bikes, which is what I believe was being suggested.

The heated seats front and rear are only £240. i have tried every aftermarket seat before getting my 40 year and the heated seats are amazing. My longest day was 345 miles and they are super comfy. The best money you will spend.
