Hi all..... before I get a bashing about doing a search on this subject, :blagblah....I have and the amount of results is ..........looooong, going back to 2007:blast

So........
The standard seat on the 1200 is ok, but numb ass sets in after about 45mins
any suggestions on a better seat on the market:nenau and prices

cheers:beerjug:

Recomend bying a gel insert and sending it all down to tony archer to fit
did 4000 miles in 2weeks without a problem

I'm interested in getting my standard seat done by Tony Archer. It needs re-covering anyway as it has an obvious scuff mark on it.

Any idea how much he charges including gel inserts?

The Sargent seats look very lush but it's a helluva lot of money - £500 or thereabouts

aye its not cheap....... "But" it looks good, has a good review and is £300 if it's just the front ur after:eek

But if you consider a set of HID lights and spots will set you back as much or more !!!!!!!!

I suppose you have to think about how many miles your planning over the year, and how well you get on with the bank manager :comfort

If it's a NON adventure, have you tried changing the height setting on the seat??

Put the rear adjuster on LOW
Put the front adjuster on HIGH.

Makes a lot of difference, and is the cheapest option available...

Go for the Sargent - looks old fashioned but does the job.
All day riding (500/600k) is not a problem.:thumb
