Coming over from Denmark to buy a 1150RT

Not been on here for a while - I'm a Brit living in Denmark, did a trip to Asia a while back on a GS, had to sell it as the Danish tax system wanted 180% of its value to import it....

Overland days are on hold for a bit, but Scandinavian trips are on the horizon - so the 1150 RT looks like a decent choice right now.

I'm in the market for one in the 2500 pound mark. Given that I'd be flying in, then riding it back to DK I'm trying to find a dealer or a reputable private dude that sells them...any help here would be a massive help

I saw Steptoe had one a while back, would have snapped it out of his hands,

Hello Brian, how you doing, long time no see. Yes, you missed a good RT, now sold. I don’t know of anyone selling an RT at the moment but will ask around.?

Thanks Neil, any help would be great, I can wobble a back wheel and ask about the ABS but my mechanical skills for choosing a good bike are limited, so tapping into your network would be a help to me. I'm travelling for a year with wife and kids, home for Xmas, looking to get the bike early Jan, and ride it home to Scandinavia - because I I just love riding in the rain and dark.

I think I replied to this a couple of times already, but it ain't showing.

brian, i was in tom conway motorcycles in durham today he has a nice silver 1150 rt in stock ,i think it has 45 thousand miles on ans about you budget,from a quick look over it looked really good ,i didnt get on my hands and knees tho .have a look it may be on his website,he does have a good name in the area .if i can help you in anyway let me know mate ,or if you need a lift from the airport if i am not at i work no problem.ian
