So I have some work in Vegas over the next couple of weeks and am hoping to tag a week of vacation on the end.
I know some people here have done tours around the Vegas area, and maybe even some of our State-side cousins can comment?
Basically I have six riding days out of Vegas, so I intend to rent a harley and take off. This is the plan:
I plan on staying in cheap-ish motels in smaller towns near the sites listed, rather than at the sites to save some $$$. I wasn't going to book, you think I'll find accomodation OK on the spur of the moment?
I think its fairly reasonable mileage (without really knowing the road conditions, or haven riden a Harley before), does it sound OK? I wanted to make fairly short days to give plenty time for stops and photos.
Weather wise it doesn't look blazingly hot at the moment, but I guess it will get warmer in the next couple of weeks. Average temperature seems to be around mid-20 celcius in June, maybe up to 30 on a hot day. So I figure my regular Hein Gericke textile suit will do the job (with all the vents open!), its not a lot warmer than that hot spell we had here a couple of weeks ago.
