compact flash

anybody know what is the fastest and biggest compact flash you can fit in a 2610, i upgraded from a 40x to a 60x(sandisk ultra II 2gb) and the difference was very good. the faster card certainly helps on the map redraw. does anybody know wether it will take a 2gig 266x or a 133x?regards PAul

i have tried the 133x speed extreme III compact flash today, only a slight improvement on the redraw speed on the mapping, not a vast difference from the 60x, but the 60x is much faster than the 40x.
no great loss though , im using the 60x in my camera.
verdict upgrade to at least a 60x ultimate II sandisk.all the best PAul

Thanks for that - I've just bought a 133x 2GB card and wondered if I'd done the wrong thing, as many people have recommended sticking with the less sophisticated cards for the 2610.

Thats quite true, some of the faster cards have been found to be incompatible
