Hi, Can anyone tell me if the software CD's supplied with the Zumo 550 works with Apple OS X?

I don't have access to a PC, only my wonderful (in most ways) Apple Macbook Pro...

Cheers

Dan

Bobcat seems to work sort of OK but can be crashy at times, you'll also need a few other bits of software Garmin have for download mapinstall, mapmanager and webupdater clicky here for more info :)

oops too slow :)

MacBook Pro? If it's Intel based then you could always consider getting Parrallels or one of the other PC VM packages and putting a PC on your Mac. Of course it's not free and its also high time Garmin woke up to this issue and made something that works properly on Mac.

The latest version of City Nav North America NT (2009) is Mac and PC - presumably the next version of CN Europe will be too.

Bobcat is still a work in progress, but gets better with each release - another release is due in a couple of weeks, I think.

thanks everyone, much appreciated. have been toying with the idea of upgrading from Tiger to Leopard (10.5) which comes with something called Bootcamp, which will enable me to run windows. So Garmin software not running on a mac is another reason to do it....

Cheers

Dan
