Conti Road Attacks

+1 and they are one of the cheapest options too!!

+ another one, good in the wet as well, loads better than the Battlewings i had on before

Can anyone give a mileage report on them compared to Tourances?

Mike

Despite what others have posted, IMHO they aren't as grippy in the cold as I expected. Certainly not as good as Bridgestone 020's. Having said that, they are wearing well.

+1 Love them .I reckon they are grippier in the wet than 020's .Mileage : my guess 4500 out of the rear and 8000 on the front

Done 4,000-odd miles on mine. Front looks barely worn (but punctured now ) rear has lots of tread left, maybe half-worn at a guess, but is quite badly squared. I blame two full 500+ mile hot days on motorways at a steady 90 for this.

I do love the tyres, though - the most confidence-insipring tyres I've had, whether wet or dry, hot or cold (and I've had Dunlop 207s, Tourances and Battlewings on this bike, and Trailwings, BT 020s and Tourances on the 1150)

I might try these next then. I'm about to change tyres for the first time on my 12GS after getting 8k out of the anakees. I was going to get another set of anakees as I can't fault them, but always like to try something different otherwise I wont know any better!!

The road attacks IMHO are totally different to the Anakees and similar tyres. The attacks will make the steering lighter and the bike alot more flickable into bends with better stability in the turn .Very close(sort of) to a sports bike handling so they do take a 100 miles to get used to .

done 4000 mls on mine now as well and agree they are pretty dam good, even stood up to a track day blast, well as much of a blast as the damp track would allow! Only thing i would say is they do need some warming up to get the best out of them. The jury is i think still out over the affect on the handling of what are really 'road tyres' on a adventurer type bike. As you aknow the riding style of the adventurer is somehat different than a sports bike :clap, and yet here we are fitting sports type rubber! I am tempted to try trail attack next time, anyone had them both i wonder?

I like mine, it's the 3rd set I've had (on different bikes), they're pretty superb, wet or dry. Sport attacks are better of course, but these ones last longer. Unfortunately I've never found out how long they last, I keep getting punctures
