Convert Garmin to TomTom, please

Bump.

If anyone knows how to properly convert Garmin files to Tomtom, please post the answer here.

I tried to convert my mapsource route of home to Brands Hatch (only 7kb) and it got as far as item 112 (a road turn 30 miles from home) and the itinerary was full up.

If only Tomtom had a proper easy to use route planner like mapsource, it would be really good. My steam-powered Motorrad Nav2 isn't may favourite to use, especially when getting itself off route on the return journey despite taking the same way home? (Probably finger trouble on my part)

If only the Zumo had been available sooner........

Save each leg separately (cut and paste each one individually into a 2nd iteration of Mapsource) as a GPX file from Mapsource and then open in ITN Converter, finally save to ITN format.

There is way to many markers on that map, totally unecessary.

This means that you have 13 TomTom files to upload to your TomTom and you will have to swap files frequently as you pass each 1/13 of the journey.

You could do with sitting down with TYRE and just putting in the locations you need and waypoints to make sure you go on the roads you want, you can have up to 48 in 1 itinerary file, if you have more then 48 you need to have several files.

The journey doesnt look that long so I would say if I can do 7,000 miles round Europe over 3.5 weeks in just 2 interary files, around 60 waypoints and destinations, then this should be a easy route to plot.

If you want the files just nod and ill uploaded them somewhere for you.
