Convert old 510 Navman using TomTom sw?

Hope someone might know the answer. I have a old iCN510 Navman and new TomTom Rider using vs6 software.
Is it possible to reuse the new TomTom software on the old Navman aswell ?

My logic is based on the idea that all is involved is a SD card being able to hold a certain amount of data and processing power might be fine albeit a bit slower. However, I am also guessing that the OS might be different and incompatible.
