Converting AVI to DVD

Can anyone recommend a package for Converting AVI to DVD that ideally is free and does not limit me to a few days use, or put banners on, or fill my machine with spyware or only work for up to 100 megs?

I use winavi video converter.
Seems to be free so far. Asks for me to pay but just click later and still seems to work.

Ah thaks - that worked, however..........

It converted it to upside down and put a watermark in the middle, does your version do the same?

Try a search for DVD SANTA. It will convert to widescreen as well

Looking good so far It has another 90 minutes to go, then I can burn it to DVD and take a look.
