I have a load of 35 mm. Negs mostly b&w I want to digitise. Not sure whether to buy a macro lens and copy stand which will be fiddly but give good results or to buy a scanner. I believe, although I’m no expert that scanner technology hasn’t advanced much since I bought my first one nearly 20 years ago., I’m kind of leaning towards the copy stand and macro lens option as it will have a use afterwards
Thoughts and advice gratefully received.
Thanks.

I would have thought this would have got more interest and help in the Photography Section - loads of expertise there. .........................Grizzly

I bought a Canoscan scanner years ago to transfer my late fathers "slides" to a digital format. It did the job brilliantly. Oddly enough, I was only thinking of selling it on as I have no more use for it.
