Copying CDs onto Hard drive

Been trying to copy music from CD onto my hard drive to transfer to the Napster. I have noticed a few Disk wont copy correctly ie the music breaks up or is poor quality. Is there something which has been introduced to disk to prevent copying and if so how do I get round it?

Try Exact Audio Copy

Once ripped onto the hard drive, you will need to convert to MP3.
