I have just tried to copy the new G4 CD, so that the wife doesnt have the original in the car, (honest), and found that when played, bits are missing on the copy.

Is this the new anti-copying stuff they put on the original, or am I doing sometinng wrong?

It plays for about 3 secomds, missed a second, and so on.

Cheers

Dave

not a copy protection system i've come accross but it does sound a bit like it could be what's causing problem.

have a look around here & see if you can shed any light on the subject.

Sounds like a buffer-overun issue in your copying....we've got a copy of the exact same album here on the hard-drive and it's perfect.......it's the way it's been saved to disk that sounds like it's gone wrong.
:(

Yes, it plays fine on the hard drive of my PC.

The problems start when I put it onto a CD.

Done loads before and I have never encountered this problem.

I suspect the musical taste police have targeted its erase lazer at all 5 copies of the CD produced by G4. to prevent it being copied and listened to by normal humans.
