If any of you are interested the S1000 RR is being officially launched today and if you are in the Gloucester area feel free to pop in and have a look. The MCN girls will be there and the coffee and paninis are on the house.

Let me state my interest. I post on here from time to time but I've been taken on as to assist with sales on a part time basis.

If you decide to come whether today or any day I hope you will feel that you are properly welcomed.

There has been some chat about it being a BMW car dealership but you ought to know that the Group Managing Director is a biker and the two sales staff including me are both bikers and we are all committed to making sure that this works on every level.

Hope to see you.

regards

Philip

How did BVM lose their franchise?? I only read good things about them?

Maybe that is the reason. BMW only want ****** running their franchises :D

maybe its because they was'nt only loyal to bmw, and to be honest i found them one of the better dealerships........... its a shame they've gone.

Another car dealer with bikes on the side or do they have guys who know what they are selling ?

It's up to you to judge whether we know what we are selling but as one of the Sales team here I can tell you:

1. Andrew Hulcoop, the Group MD, and the person essentially responsible for taking on this franchise is a biker.

2. Ben, the full time Sales Exec is a biker.

3. I am a biker and I run a K1200S and an HP2 Sport - I'm Philip and work here 3 days a week helping out on Sales. I can tell you that I would not have taken this job if I wasn't entirely happy that those to whom I would report i.e. Andrew, understood that you could not apply the same approach to selling bikes that you would to selling cars.

4. Jenny, the Service Manager is ex BVM.

5. Mark, the Service Technician is ex BVM.

Why not pop in and form your own judgment on our capabilities.

Well said that man. Although I've always found BVM to be very helpful, there's no reason Cotswold won't be able to offer equally good service. Time will tell I suppose.

So do most other BMW dealers

This week I was in Cooper Sunderland and they had Jap bikes and a Harley and also Rainbow, who had Harleys and Jap bikes..................nothing strange in that.

I think they are allowed to retail other makes of bikes that they take in as p/x

It's more about why they shut a decent dealer down :nenau
