Cracked heat shield.

Noticed this crack emanating from the front downpipe heat shield where it reduces in shield width on my M8 Limited.
Funnily enough albeit I am not laughing, it occured exactly the same spot on my old Twin Cam Ultra Classic.
A poor design, a weak spot or just material too thin and not fit for purpose.

Anybody else noticed the same?

I might have the answer for you…..
I have the heat shields from a sport glide in the garage….. excellent condition.
Not sure they will fit your bike, but happy to drag them out of the rafters and see if thee is a part number on them…
And/or take a photo or two.
