Hello all.
I have a couple of small hairline cracks on my screen coming out from the bolt holes. Only a few mm in length but worried they may get bigger and split the screen. Probably due to bolts on Torbinators beeing too tight so have loosened them off a bit.
Any advice would be welcome. Dont want to apply superglue etc in case it makes it brittle.

cheers
Kev

Drill a small hole immediately after the end of each crack and they will magically stop spreading. The holes have to be after the cracks, not across the cracks. Google for "drill stop" for more info.

Top tip:D Also use a good sharp drill and be very careful (slow) when the drill starts to exit the back of the screen. If you rush you can crack it again:augie Same with numberplates and anything perspexy...

I've had the same cracks for the last 2 years, but I only noticed them after I errr ..... laid the bike down. :augie

Mine haven't got any worse in 2 years.

Same with mine. Had them in there for a year and a bit and they didn't get any worse. Crashed the bike earlier this year so convinced them it was accident damage.

If / when I replace the screen (I quite fancy a tinted one) I'll find out the exact torque settings for the bolts. :thumb2
