Just back from a superb Easter in the Scottish Borders with Micky and a host of UKGSER's

We stayed at the Buccleuch Arms and very good it was too http://www.buccleucharmshotel.com/

We travelled up on Friday in 2-3 groups and I managed to share the ride, with 2 different groups consecutively................hey-ho, all part of the fun

Saturday dawned chilly, but soon warmed up

Had a ride with Chris (Phooey) here, who came down from Melrose and Elle

From Tweedsmuir and over to Talla Reservoir - one of my favourite rides in the world

Then onto St Mary's Loch, where we met Blackal

Then the 709 to Eskdalemuir to Samye Ling's, where we bumped into Borderraider, Mort and Gail, together with Jasperoony from here

Just one of many 'spirited' rides (new UKGSER buzzword:D), this weekend

In the bar on Saturday night Kev (Norm) had caught the sun, just a bit.................doing some male 'friendship bracelet' bonding

Sunday, just had a bimble with Micky and Sue, together with Steve (Skid06) and Jannine

No pics....................too busy riding

Today, i led the run home on all B or unclassified roads and we had some fun.................I can recommend the Rocky Road cafe, in Bellingham - we will be visiting again in 3 weeks

Great weekend with old friends and good to meet Boatman here and Skid06 & Jannine, on his 12GS WC - ace company

Bike all washed and cleaned tonight.....................ready for the next one

637 miles covered.....................all enjoyable, probably less than 1% travelled on A roads & no motorways whatsoever - heaven

That wasn't you lot goin north past Catcleugh reservoir on Easter Monday teatime was it? About a dozen mainly GS were out in 2 groups.

The Buccleuch Arms has several individual garages in the rear garden. Absolutely perfect for storing the bike and bike gear (no carrying it up to the room each day) & no cold or frosty seats :thumb
