On Monday I got a call from my dealer telling me that he could get me a new GS for the same monthly price as I’m currently paying on my 66 reg GSA TE.

I said I’d rather wait until the new GSA is out, probably in a years time, going by previous release dates.

Dealer says that’s understandable, will call again when GSA is available.

Lo and behold...it’s Tuesday and the GSA is out!

My phones now on silent!

Whats crafty about that?

He needs to sell bikes,

If he can sell you a new one and take yours back and make a profit on both your both winners

Dealer for a sale & potential resale, you for getting a brand new bike for the same payments.

??

Sounds good to me .. he will always want to get his quarterly figures in so go for it ... :)

I know he needs make sales etc...but as decent human being I’d of rather him tell me the GSA was out the following day.

You're a member of this forum. How out of the loop can you be?

Not a crafty dealer at all.

So he wanted to sell you a 1200 GSA, pretending he didn’t know there’s the 1250 coming any day?

He tried to sell me a gs1250...I said I’d rather wait for the gsa..which is usually not released at same time...a point to which he agreed.

It's simple. Dealers have high targets and are paid on delivery, not deposit. If he talked to you about a GSA there is a 5% chance he could give you one in mid-December if you accepted a stock bike which was ready to go so instead as you didn't seem ultra keen he's bookmarked you for next year. If you were that keen on a new adventure you would have known there was one coming. Big deal out of nothing.

Can you not read? He spoke to me about a GS. He agreed with me that the GSA could be a year away...but obviously he knew different. I’m not angry in any way....just think it would of been nicer if he told me the Adventure was due out soon

Not taking sides but not all Managers tell their staff of rumours, & I doubt the GSA will be the same money, worth a look tho & maybe asking him WTF was all that about the other day may get u a bit of extra discount.. I know what u mean tho.. I would take advantage of the situation..
Good luck

Cheers. I’ll take a browse at the NEC show and go from there.
