The crank breather pipe fitting in the airbox on SWMBOs 2000 F650GS has rotted.
After a bit head scratching I decided a tubeless tyre screw in schrader valve body would be a suitable replacement, luckily I have a few of these in my workshop.
Drilled out the stem to 6mm and silphosed a ring of welding wire around the top of the stem. As I cannot flare the end of the pipe I find this a suitable alternative
To tidy up the silphosing I popped it into my lathe and shaped it with a file. It was very quick to fit to the airbox
